Approach to Stop/Run
Rhythm experts Bitwise and Madek took a very musical approach to Stop/Run. Crunchy drum beats were tapped out on woodblocks and contact mics, melodies structured around the bells and strings, both bowed and plucked. Tune!
Biography
Bitwise + Madek are Simon Kenny and Andrew Madec, individually a.k.a. Bitwise Operator and Madek, respectively. The former is a Galway based multi-instrumentalist working cheifly with Metal drumming, electronic music and music for theatre. The later is also a Galway native, working mainly with electric bass influenced electronic music, and has recently released a solo EP entitled Meas Mór.
